The 2025 Guangxi Energy Conservation Promotion Week and Low Carbon Day event recently kicked off in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Guangxi Jinchuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., the only exhibiting company from Fangchenggang city, showcased its advanced technology and significant energy-saving and carbon-reducing achievements at the exhibition.
The event in Nanning, Guangxi
The company currently possesses the world's largest single-system copper production capacity. In recent years, it has actively explored various energy-saving and emission-reduction technological innovations. The Phase I 400,000 tons/year copper smelting project, with "double-flash" technology as its core, features domestically leading technologies such as oxygen-enriched smelting and high-current density electrolysis. Its comprehensive utilization of resources and energy consumption control far exceed industry standards. The energy consumption per unit product of cathode copper is superior to the National First-Class Energy Efficiency Standard, vividly demonstrating its "energy saving and efficiency enhancement".
The Phase II 300,000-ton copper system digital upgrade project adopts the internationally advanced "side-blown smelting + multi-gun top-blown refining" process. It is the first to implement digital design delivery, establish an intelligent digital factory, achieve deep integration of energy flow, material flow and information flow with management, set a benchmark for digital transformation in the non-ferrous industry, and promote mutually beneficial outcomes for green development.
From technological breakthroughs to digital transformation, the company is actively pioneering the green upgrade of the copper smelting industry, courageously acting as a "carbon pioneer" and driving a "green future". Going forward, the company will anchor the "dual carbon" goal, continuously deepen its transformation and upgrade towards low-carbon, intelligent, and green development. This will stimulate new quality productive forces for green and low-carbon development, empower high-quality development with more "green" achievements, focus on energy conservation and carbon reduction, and write a "green answer sheet" for high-quality development.
